After carrots, Akkar produces giant onions

Lebanese farmer Omar al-Masri displayed on Thursday in his garden in the region of Tal Abbas -Akkar giant onions which weights exceeding 1200 grams.

Al-Masri said that he fertilizes his garden with organic fertilizers only, and he was shocked at the size of the onions.

He noted that onions of such sizes are highly demanded in restaurants which use large quantities in their daily cooking.

Two weeks ago, the head of the Klayat-Akkar municipality, Ahmad Ibrahim, displayed a huge carrot found in his cultivated land in the Akkar valley, noting that the carrot measures at nearly 130 cm.
