President Aoun returns judiciary law to cabinet over concerns

President Joseph Aoun briefed the cabinet on his decision to return the law regulating the judiciary, acting within the constitutional deadline under Article 57 of the Constitution.

The president cited significant procedural, material, and substantive errors in the draft, which could render parts of it unenforceable.

He also noted that the law deviates from established principles, frameworks, and international standards.
