Syria suspends work of Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council

Lebanon's Foreign Affairs Ministry has received, through the Syrian Embassy in Beirut, a notification of Syria's decision to suspend the activities of the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council.

The decision also stipulates that all types of correspondence between the two countries will be conducted exclusively through official diplomatic channels henceforth .
