MP Chehayeb: PSP will not attend General Authority session

MP Akram Chehayeb announced on Tuesday that the Progressive Socialist Party will not attend Wednesday's General Authority session, citing the Orthodox Gathering draft law as the main reason behind the party's decision.

MP Chehayeb's announcements came following a meeting held between a delegation representing the PSP and Caretaker Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel in which they tackled the agenda of Wednesday's General Authority session.

He added that the Orthodox Gathering's draft law foments extremism and ends moderation in Lebanon.

MP Chehayeb said that the PSP is ready to discuss any electoral draft law that would give apt representation to all Lebanese factions.
