Hochstein says Iran has no role in Lebanon, says Hezbollah acted on Iranian requests

U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein said Iran has no role in Lebanon’s internal affairs, adding that Hezbollah’s actions during the past two years of conflict have revealed its alignment with Iranian directives.

Hochstein said that Hezbollah is not acting as a Lebanese fighting force, but rather in accordance with Iranian requests, saying the group has acted ‘at the request of the Iranians.’
