MP Siniora from Ain el-Tineh: Next few hours will be decisive for the electoral file

Speaker Nabih Berri met on Tuesday with Future bloc leader MP Fouad Siniora in Ain el-Tineh, in the presence of former minister Mohammad Shatah and Nader Hariri.

Following the meeting, MP Siniora announced that the "next few hours" will witness a consensus over a new electoral draft law, expecting the General Authority session "to be held next Friday."

He also urged the necessity of preserving "moderation" in Lebanon and the "unity of Muslims".

For his part, Speaker Nabih Berri described the meeting with MP Siniora as "very positive".

This comes as sources in Ain el-Tineh asserted that Speaker Berri will not call for holding a General Authority session.
