Israeli army issues evacuation warning for residents of Jibchit and Srifa in South Lebanon

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an urgent warning to residents in the southern Lebanese towns of Jibchit and Srifa.

In a statement, Adraee said that “in light of Hezbollah’s violation of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli army is compelled to act against it forcefully,” while claiming that the military “does not intend to harm civilians.”

He urged residents to immediately evacuate their homes and move at least 1,000 meters away from the towns into open areas “for their safety.”

Adraee also warned that “anyone near Hezbollah members, facilities or military equipment is putting their life at risk.”
