PM-Designate Salam holds several meetings, reiterates call for new government

Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam held a meeting on Wednesday with a delegation of the Association of Economic Media Representatives presided by Bahij Abou Ghanem whereby they stressed the need to form a new government, the state-run National News Agency reported.

In this regard, Abou Ghanem quoted Salam as saying that “the current situation requires tireless efforts from all Lebanese parties in order to form a government of national interest,” adding that “the economic situation has become alarming”.

On another note, Salam met with Dialogue party Head Fouad Makhzoumi, former Minister Maurice Sehnawi, and other high-ranking figures.
