MP Zahra: Hezbollah will eventually come to dialogue and hand over its arms

Lebanese Forces (LF) MP Antoine Zahra said on Thursday that the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) must have a clear characterization of those attacking the military institution, noting that the LAF, escorted by the UNIFIL forces, should also control the northern border with Syria as part of its security agenda.

In an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, MP Zahra pointed out that the resistance should stand against the Israeli occupation, not occupy another country, he said in reference to Syria, adding that Hezbollah will eventually launch a dialogue and hand over its arms.

On another note, MP Zahra stressed that the LF hope the Constitutional Council will convene in order to take a decision in regards to the appeal challenging the extension of the parliament's mandate.

Separately, MP Zahra said that "the LF want to exclude Hezbollah from the government," calling on Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam to resign should he fail to form this governmental model.
