US Defense Secretary in Jeddah to meet Saudi king on Iran deal
U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter arrived in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah on Wednesday for scheduled meetings with King Salman and other top officials aiming to convince them about the benefits of the Iran nuclear deal.

Saudi Arabia has publicly given a cautious welcome to the deal, but in private the main U.S. Arab ally is skeptical, fearing the agreement will give its prime regional foe more space to back groups opposed by Riyadh across the Middle East.
