Thousands attend funeral of assassinated Colonel Khodaei
Thousands attended on Tuesday the funeral of Sayyad Khodaei, a colonel in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps who was assassinated near his home on Sunday, chanting slogans condemning the United States and Israel, according to AFP journalists.
The Guards mourned Khodaei and dubbed him as a "martyr" after gunmen on a motorcycle fired five shots at him while he was in his car near his home in eastern Tehran, blaming members associated with "global arrogance", in reference to the United States and its allies, led by Israel, the archenemy of the Islamic Republic.
