UK to ask NATO allies to increase military spending
Britain made the announcement that Prime Minister Boris Johnson will ask the leaders of the other NATO members to increase their military spending in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine during today's summit in Madrid.
Following Russia's annexation of Crimea in Ukraine in 2014, NATO member states committed to raising their defense spending to at least 2 percent of GDP by 2024.
