Several Security Council members condemn Hamas attack

Several members of the United Nations Security Council condemned the surprise attack launched by the Hamas Movement on Israel on Sunday.

Moreover, the United States expressed its regret over the lack of consensus in this closed emergency meeting.

Prior to the session, the United States called on all Security Council members to issue a "firm" condemnation of Hamas's attack on Israel.
