“Targeted Operation" Conducted with Tanks in Gaza Overnight: Israeli Army

The Israeli army announced that it carried out a "targeted operation" using tanks overnight from Wednesday to Thursday in the northern Gaza Strip as Israel continues preparations for a possible ground invasion of the territory.

The military spokesperson stated in a Thursday statement that "the army conducted a targeted operation with tanks in the northern Gaza Strip as part of its preparations for the next stages of the conflict."

It was further mentioned that "the soldiers withdrew from the area after the operation."

This comes as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Wednesday evening that the country is “preparing to enter on the ground.”
