US says Israel must distinguish between Hamas, Gaza civilians

The United States called on Israel on Sunday to take all necessary measures to "distinguish" between Hamas and Palestinian civilians in its military operations, as the Israeli army intensifies its airstrikes and ground incursions in the Gaza Strip.

This comes as the Ministry of Health in the Hamas government announced on Saturday night that over eight thousand Palestinians, half of whom are children, have been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7th.
