Palestinian president welcomes truce

On Wednesday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas commended the efforts of Qatar and Egypt in helping secure the pause in fighting while renewing calls for a "comprehensive cessation of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people."
