Negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza with Qatari and Egyptian mediators are ongoing

Qatari and Egyptian mediators are persisting in their negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip despite the resumption of fighting between Israel and Hamas, according to an informed source on Friday.

The source, who requested anonymity, told AFP, "Negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza with Qatari and Egyptian mediators are ongoing," after a night of intensive talks that failed to extend the existing humanitarian ceasefire.
