Iraqi security official slams US drone strike, labeling it a breach of sovereignty

After the United States announced the targeting of a vehicle affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces through a drone, the head of the Security Media Cell, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, considered that this "new aggression undermines all understandings."

Al-Khafaji, in a post on the X platform, held the "American side and the coalition forces accountable for the repercussions of these dangerous actions that threaten the security and safety of the country."

He said: "It is a clear violation and breach of Iraqi sovereignty, dragging the region into serious consequences, and a clear sabotage of all dialogues between the two sides."
