Syria's Defense Ministry says forces repel attacks, regain some areas

Syria's Ministry of Defense reported Sunday that "units of our armed forces operating in the northern Hama countryside strengthened their defensive lines last night with various firepower, personnel, and equipment, successfully repelling terrorist organizations and preventing any breaches."  

It added, "Our armed forces also managed to secure several areas after driving out the terrorists, most notably Qalaat Al Madiq and Maardes, where dozens of them were eliminated, while the rest fled."
