Iran confirms Friday nuclear talks with US in Rome

Iran on Wednesday confirmed it would hold a fifth round of talks on its nuclear program with the United States in Rome later this week.

Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said in a statement that Tehran had agreed "to a proposal put forward by (mediator) Oman... to organize another round of Iran-U.S. talks" in the Italian capital on Friday.
