REPORT: Relations between Aoun and Berri on the decline-sources

In light of the extension of the Parliament’s mandate, disagreements over the prolongation of the term of the Lebanese Armed Forces’ Commander and the consequent boycott imposed by the Free Patriotic Movement over the Parliament’s General Authority session, the relation between House Speaker Nabih Berri and Change and Reform Bloc Leader MP Michel Aoun seems to be on the decline.

In this regard, Development and Liberation bloc MP Ali Bazzi told LBCI that Speaker Berri is holding talks with Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam on the basis of his confession, being Shi'ism and not as part of the March 8 alliance.

This report will shed light on the relation between Speaker Berri and MP Aoun as well as the stance of various March 8 deputies in this regard.
