REPORT: Protesters launch campaign to release Syrian artist Abdelki

Hala Abdallah, wife of Youssef Abdelki, one of Syria's leading artists, called on the Syrian authorities to reveal her husband’s fate.

Abdelki, 62, arrested in the port city of Tartous on Thursday, has long criticized President Bashar al-Assad and his late father, Hafez al-Assad, who ruled Syria for 30 years until his death in 2000.

This report will mainly examine the stance of Abdelki’s wife and will shed light on the campaign that was launched in order to release him.
