REPORT: Political void threatens second session of official exams

Around 25000 students await setting up a date for the second session of official exams, amid concerns regarding the decree number 5697 that stipulates that holding a second session requires the issuance of a new decree by the cabinet.

Accordingly, one of two scenarios can be applied in this case, either the cabinet holds an extraordinary session to issue the decree or the caretaker Education Minister sends a letter whereby he sets a date for the exams and which will have to be signed by the President and the Finance Minister in order to take effect.
