REPORT: Lebanese government faces financial troubles

Electoral employments during 2013 and the soaring in the cost of living have caused the Lebanese state financial burdens regarding the payment of salaries and wages of the employees, since the expenditure has exceeded the ceiling set at 18.3 trillion LBP.

Accordingly, the Finance Ministry needs an additional credit of 1.2 trillion, while caretaker Finance Minister Nicolas Nahas mentioned a larger amount.
