REPORT: Will setting a schedule for trucks' movement help in solving traffic issues?

The movement of the trucks constitutes the main cause of traffic jam in Lebanon, making it urgent to intensify the measures concerning the schedules of their movements.

Two main points are considered the primary center of pressure caused by the trucks on the highway, the first being the northern entrances of the capital from Safra to Beirut, while the second is the exceptional cases mentioned in the decision issued by caretaker Interior and Municipalities Minister Marwan Charbel, including the military vehicles, fire trucks, waste trucks, tankers transporting water and medical products, and concrete tankers.
