REPORT: Truck owners’ syndicate stages strike at Beirut port, heavy traffic jam follows

The syndicate of truck owners staged a comprehensive strike on Monday morning at the Beirut port.

The protesters closed the doors and entrances of the said port in a bid to voice their demands to the concerned parties.

In this context,a heavy traffic jam resulted on the western route of the Jounieh highway toward Beirut, trapping hundreds of commuters in their cars for hours.
