REPORT: How will Ministers Aridi, Safadi be prosecuted amid mutual scandals?

Financial General Prosecutor Judge Ali Ibrahim summoned caretaker Transport Minister Ghazi Aridi on Thursday to a hearing next week in order to investigate the mutual accusations between caretaker Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi and himself.

In this context, Aridi expressed his readiness to attend the hearing  in a phone call with LBCI.

This as sources confirmed to LBCI that Judge Ibrahim also summoned the companies responsible for the Airport highway tunnel maintenance in order to investigate the reasons behind the recent flood.

Separately, Judge Ibrahim issued arrest warrants against three of Hariri Hospital employees with public money embezzlement charges.

Caretaker Transport Minister Ghazi Aridi accused caretaker Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi on Monday of mismanagement in a press conference where he publicly apologized to the Lebanese people over the failure to clear sewage drains across the country before winter on December 4th, leaving citizens stranded for hours in their cars as the water level in the second tunnel on the airport road was one and a half meter high, blocking both sides of the highway.
