Sources close to the Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam told LBCI that the cabinet will be formed soon, noting that the contacts have seen remarkable progress, while Salam is still waiting answers from the head of the Future bloc Fouad Siniora.
In this context, sources from the Baabda Presidential Palace said, in a statement to LBCI, that there are positive signs in the issue of the cabinet, revealing that discussions are now tackling the distribution of the ministerial portfolios amid complete secrecy.
In turn, sources close to the head of the Kataeb party Amin Gemayel said that the cabinet is expected to be formed within the next 48 hours, noting that the committee that will draft the ministerial statement must be a form of a dialogue committee during which the parties will reach common grounds.
