REPORT: Lebanese actress Amalia Abi Saleh dies aged 68

Lebanese actress Amalia Abi Saleh, who was in a coma since almost a week, died on Friday dawn at Bahman hospital in Beirut.

The health of Amalia Abi Saleh, one of the most known actresses in Lebanon, was deteriorating while hospitals were refusing to admit her for lacking social security.

Amalia Abi Saleh had voiced to LBCI her suffering, slamming the Lebanese leaders' "sleeping conscience."

Later on, caretaker Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil announced via twitter that the Ministry will cover Abi Saleh's medical expenses.

Similarly, President Michel Sleiman announced that he was following up the issue with the concerned parties.
