REPORT: Sleiman does not intend to announce 'fait accompli' cabinet- sources

The visit of Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Mohammad Raad to Baabda was in the framework of overcoming obstacles hurdling the cabinet formation process.

Raad met with President Michel Sleiman with talks featuring high on the rotation of ministerial portfolios, well-informed sources said.

Raad had left without making any statement but sources close to the Presidential Palace denied to LBCI media reports that Sleiman intends to announce a 'fait accompli' cabinet within the 48 next hours should the parties fail to agree on a new government.

"This is out of the question as long as consultations are ongoing," the sources added.
