REPORT: Lebanese state takes action on minors kidnapping file

A Lebanese man who kidnapped his wife's 14-year-old niece and took her to an apartment in Tripoli’s Abi Samra, was arrested on Wednesday.

Gaviotta Saleh was kidnapped for almost 20 days by her aunt’s husband identified as Mohammad Abdul Majid.

On Tuesday, Gaviotta sent a video to her parents whereby she confirmed that she had willingly eloped with Mohammad, adding that she has been in a love affair with him since two years.

This report will examine the reaction of the Lebanese authorities which have finally decided to take action on minors kidnapping file.
