REPORT: Ministers of Salam’s new cabinet take over duties from former ministers

The ministers of the new cabinet formed by Prime Minister Tammam Salam began on Monday to take over their ministerial duties from their predecessors.

In this context, former minister Nicolas Nahas handed over the economy ministry to Alain Hakim, while a handover ceremony was held between former minister Nazem al-Khoury and Mohammad al-Mashnouq at the environment ministry.

In turn, Labor Minister Sejaan Azzi took over his duties from ex-minister Salim Jreissati.

At the agriculture ministry, a handover took place between former minister Hussein Hajj Hassan and the new minister Akram Chouhayeb.

Information Minister Ramzi Jreij received the duties of his ministry from Walid al-Daouq.
