REPORT: Reconciliation reached between regime and opposition forces in Reef Damascus town

At a time when fierce clashes are taking place in various Syrian regions, a reconciliation agreement was reached in the past 24 hours between regime troops and opposition forces in Babila, in Reef Damascus.

The reconciliation agreement stipulates enforcing a ceasefire, raising the siege imposed by regime forces, allowing food and other humanitarian aid to areas controlled by rebels, and raising the official flag of the Syrian regime on state institutions in these areas.

Similar agreements were previously reached in Beit Sahm, and Yalda, in the area of Sayyeda Zainab in Southern Damascus, and in the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp, and negotiations are being held to hold an agreement in Harasta, a stronghold for the Syrian opposition located at the northeastern suburb of Damascus.

It is worth noting that former ministers, businessmen, and public personalities are overseeing the enforcement of these agreements.
