REPORT: Can a caretaker cabinet extend the mandate of President Sleiman?

The period to elect a new president begins on March 25, two months before President Michel Sleiman term is due to expire.
Starting on May 15, the Lebanese Parliament’s sole mission would be to elect a new president.

This report will shed light on possibility to extend the mandate of President Sleiman in case Lebanese leaders fail to elect a new President?
