REPORT: UCC chief Hanna Gharib vows to take escalatory steps
The head of the budget and finance parliamentary committee, MP Ibrahim Kanaan said on Friday that some issues still need to be settled, and said: "We concluded the first hardest part of the debate".        

The Joint Parliamentary Committees wrapped up their meeting without referring the Wage Scale to Parliament.       

This comes after the Committees held a session on Friday at the Parliament to discuss and endorse the series of ranks and salaries.                   

The session was held under the chairmanship of Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan and in the presence of Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil, Education Minister Elias Bou Saab and representatives of the concerned ministries and administrations.            

In this regard, the head of the Union Coordination Committee Hanna Gharib said: "We are heading towards escalation and we will meet on Saturday to decide on the necessary steps".
