REPORT: Afghans carry polling equipment on donkeys

In remote district of Dar-E-Noor in eastern Afghanistan, villagers use donkeys to carry election materials to polling stations.Lack of decent roads and its towering, craggy mountains are leading Afghanistan to turn to old trend of transportation to move ballot boxes to remote areas of the country.

The animals carried the materials in blue plastic boxes tied to their backs, while armed policemen walked alongside them.

Afghanistan will choose a new president and a successor to Hamid Karzai on 5th of April.
