REPORT: Death toll from Sidon shooting rises to 8

The death toll from the shooting that took place in Sidon's Mieh Mieh Palestinian refugee camp has risen to 8, while the number of injured reached 10.

Among the killed, Ahmad Rashid, sibling Rashid Rashid, Syrian national Mohamad Qatish were identified.

Ahmad Rashid, a Palestinian national was also the leader of what is known as the Al-Aoude brigade.

Sources reported that Jundallah took control of Rashid's base shortly after the shootout.

Gunfire was said to have erupted early Monday between supporters of Jamal Sleiman, a local armed group leader, and others from al-Rashid family on the backdrop of a previous dispute.

The Lebanese Armed Forces cut-off all roads leading to the camp.
