REPORT: President Sleiman attends Good Friday mass in USEK
Father Tannous Nehme, Superior General of the Lebanese Maronite Order, presided on Friday the Mass of the Presanctified held at Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) in presence of President Michel Sleiman.

Diplomatic, political, and religious figures attended the mass, including Apostolic Nuncio Gabriele Caccia and Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Jean Kahwaji.

Nehme addressed Sleiman during his sermon, thanking him for all the good he has done and continued to do for Lebanon.

He also voiced no concern over Lebanon for it was the "home of faith and saints."

Good Friday is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. The holiday is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday proceeding Easter Sunday.

It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday, or Easter Friday, though the latter properly refers to the Friday in Easter week.
