REPORT: The Baabda wildfire aftermath reveals environmental catastrophe

A wildfire that erupted on Monday in the Baabda region of Betshai left piles of black ash and pillars of charcoal where once tall trees reigned.

The fire, fanned by hot winds, chewed through almost 20 hectares of woodland.
