REPORT: Tricom contract workers declare open strike

Contract workers of the service provider company Tricom staged Thursday a sit-in at the premises of Lebanon's electricity company, Electricité du Liban in Beirut's Cornishe al-Naher, to protest against delays in salary payments, calling on the administration to grant them advance payments.

The protesters declared an open strike until their demands are met.
