REPORT: Anti-Assad pamphlets strewn on Saadnayel road
Anti-Assad pamphlets were found strewn on the international road of Saadnayel on Friday morning.       
The pamphlets, distributed by unidentified persons, urge the Syrian people not to elect President Bashar al-Assad for another term.        

This comes as Syrians living in Lebanon queued outside their embassy in Beirut on Thursday for a second day of voting in the Syrian presidential election.    

Expatriate voting began on Wednesday, but an unexpectedly high voter turnout in Beirut - estimated to be around 80-thousand - prompted the embassy to extend voting until midnight (2100 GMT) on Thursday.        

Tens of thousands of supporters of Syrian President Bashar Assad have voted at embassies abroad in the election, widely expected to give him a third seven-year term.     

The June 3 election is all but guaranteed to give the 49-year-old Syrian leader, whose family has ruled Syria for more than four decades, a new mandate to continue with his crushing of the armed rebellion.         

But reflecting the schism within Syrian society, many of the estimated 2.5 million refugees scattered across neighboring countries were either excluded or abstained from the balloting, which they deem a mockery because it's being held in the middle of a civil war.       

More than 160,000 people have been killed and millions of others displaced from their homes since the uprising against Assad erupted in March 2011, then morphed into a civil war.
