REPORT: New leads in Raouche suicide attack revealed
Investigations revealed that the radical Sunni Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group has designated Abdul Salam al-Ordouni as Emir in Lebanon, sources told LBCI on Sunday.

"Al-Monzer al-Hasan, the man who provided the Duroy Hotel suicide bombers with explosives, works for al-Ordouni," the same sources said.

"ISIL has established a camp on the Turkish-Syrian border to train suicide bombers and send them to Lebanon," the sources added.

Raouche's suicide bomber Ahmad Abdel Rahman al-Thawani and would-be suicide bomber Abdul Rahman al-Shenifi, who are Saudi nationals, were sent by ISIL to Lebanon, al-Shenifi told investigators earlier on Sunday.

Investigations also revealed that both suicide bombers had three explosive belts, one of which weighs 3 kg and each one of the two others contains 10 kg of high-explosive materials.

It is worth noting that al-Shenifi had seen General Security members upon their arrival to the Duroy Hotel and as soon as three of the security members reached the suicide bomber's room, al-Thawani prepared the 3-kg explosive belt and threw it towards the door.

The explosion killed al-Thawani and wounded the General Security members. The would-be suicide bomber al-Shenifi sustained burns and injuries.

The attack which took place on Wednesday at the Duroy Hotel in Beirut's Raouche region was the third blast in the country in less than a week.
