REPORT: Lebanon’s Salafists react to ISIL’s “Islamic Caliphate”

The declaration of the “Islamic Caliphate” was rejected by Islamist figures in Lebanon’s northern city of Tripoli.

Tripoli based Salafist cleric Dai al-Islam al-Shahhal addressed the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, by saying: “I advise you to study and understand the Islamic history”.
