REPORT: Siniora calls on Palestinians to unite their efforts to face Israeli aggression
Head of the Future Parliamentary bloc former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora stated on Wednesday that the unity of the Lebanese citizens and their steadfastness helped them to foil the Israeli aggression in 2006, adding that the political and diplomatic role played by the cabinet back then was pivotal.

In a protest held outside the ESCWA headquarters to voice solidarity with Gaza, Siniora said that the Palestinian people are writing history, and are preventing Israel from achieving its goals.

Siniora mentioned that officials gathered to voice their support to the people of Gaza and to tell Palestinians that they are not alone.

Siniora also stated that some regional factions are defending Israel’s right to defend itself; however, emphasized that these factions are disregarding the right of Palestinians to live in dignity.

He also stressed that the international community should be aware of the risks compiling due to the continuing tragedy of the Palestinian people, calling on the people of Palestine to unite their efforts to face off the threats presented by Israel.
