REPORT: US-led war against IS to last longer than expected

The majority of the states participating in the US-led war against the Islamic State agree that the aerial war is not enough to destroy the organization.

In this regard, after around two months since the start of the US airstrikes in Iraq, the IS-held regions in Iraq have not yet witnessed a remarkable retreat, with the exception of the withdrawal of the Islamic State from Mosul dam and a number of Kurdish towns.
