REPORT: Akkar’s Fneideq reiterates support for military institution
On the 21st of July 2014, Lebanese soldier Abdul Qader Akkoumi, who hails from the Akkar town of Fneideq, deserted the military institution.

On the 11th of October, the Islamic State announced that LAF soldier Akkoumi defected from the military institution and joined the ranks of jihadists.

Following the incident, the Fneideq municipality said Akkoumi is suffering from a psychiatric disorder, reiterating its full support to the military institution.
