REPORT: Joy of Giving, Bar Association celebrate Independence Day

Lebanese NGO Joy of Giving and the Bar Association organized on Saturday a rally to the Baabda Presidential Palace on the occasion of the Independence Day.

The rainy weather as well as the tight security measures did not prevent the activists from gathering and raising Lebanese flags and chanting the national anthem.

The Lebanese Independence Day is a national day celebrated in remembrance of the 1943 liberation from the French Mandate which was exercised over Lebanese soil for over 23 years.
