The Lebanese solider was voted “Person of The Year” in the poll launched by the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI) on the 24th of December 2014.
The Lebanese soldier was chosen along with 4 other personalities that left a lasting imprint in their field of work, including Mrs. May Khalil who brought thousands of people together in the Beirut annual marathon, Kafa Association, which gave the Lebanese women a law to protect them from domestic violence, Health Minister Wael Abou Faour who has been fighting “corruption mafias in the public and private sectors,” and launching the food safety campaign and the syndicate members Nehmeh Mahfoud and Hanna Gharib who went beyond political affiliations to call for granting the teachers their rights.
