REPORT: Casino Du Liban says will not backtrack decision to discharge employees

Casino Du Liban announced on Tuesday that the plan set to treat the financial and administrative issues requires monitoring promotions and the work process of the casino, as well as terminating the employment of several workers.

The administration also noted that the implementation of said procedures was halted due to the deteriorating security situation in neighboring countries and ensuing impacts on the local economic scene.

It also noted that the contracts of employees who are not attending their duties are hereby terminated, adding that it will not backtrack on its decision.

In turn, the discharged employees held a sit-in outside the institution.

Earlier, sources told LBCI that 191 employees were suspended from work at Casino Du Liban, adding that they are successively being informed by the administration.
