REPORT: Islamic State says 4% of Lebanon’s territories occupied by group

The northeastern border town of Arsal, which has an area of approximately 316 km2 in addition to its barren range, covers around 5% of the Lebanese territories.

The Islamic State militant group says it controls most of the border town and extends its force along the eastern mountain range, reaching Ras Baalbek’s mountainous areas.
